A Covenant Novel
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi—pure-bloods—have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals—well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.
Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:
Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.
Unfortunately, she’s crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn’t her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

“While Armentrout gives us a sample of the escalating tension between Daimons and Hematoi, it’s the taste of Alex’s possible future that really piqued my attention after some huge secrets are revealed and Alex faces some serious moral dilemmas.” – Tea and Text

"I would definitely be recommending this book especially for those who love mythology like me and for those who want a good paranormal romance novel! It totally exceeded my expectation. It has everything that I could ever ask for in a book plus a lot of add-ons on the side. Ms. Jennifer Armentrout, you did it again! You made me squeal in anticipation for your next books!”

“Mind blown. I’m addicted to all things JLA these days, then throw in some mythology and I’m totally sold. This book jumps right into action with Alexandria “Alex” fighting off daimons straight away.” - The Book Hookup

“I've read this book about a million times already and can't get enough of it. Alex and the world of pures vs. half-bloods she lives in just hooked me in from the first sentence till the last. This book was a wonderful combination of both Greek mythology and sensual by forbidden romance. The monsters scared my butt off, but the good guys were kick-ass with their shiny suits and ninja skills. Jennifer Armentrout has written this novel superbly!” – Chocolate Coated Reviews

“There was plenty of action, romance and hilarity to keep me reading Half-Blood from start to finish, all in one. It was fast and kept on going, never slowing down or allowing you to catch your breath. I wasn’t bored at any point during this book–every paragraph, every chapter had a purpose and contributed to an amazing story. “
